Magnetic measurements with a drone

ÍSOR's specialists are these days working on measurements with a drone over geothermal areas in the north-east of the country. These are magnetic measurements in the Krafla area, which is part of a research project in collaboration with Landsvirkjun, the University of Grenoble in France (Grenoble Université) and the Institute of Earth Sciences of the University of Iceland. In addition, flights will also be made in the vicinity of Ketilfjall at Þeistareykir, as part of Landsvirkjun's extensive environmental monitoring in the area.
