ÍSOR has been working on interesting geothermal projects in the Caribbean, including in Dominica, ever since 2011. Drilling has now restarted on this paradise island, where Jarðboranir (Iceland Drilling) is now drilling two new wells. ÍSOR and Mannvit are advisors to the Dominican government in connection with that drilling. Sigurður Sveinn Jónsson, geologist at ÍSOR, wrote an interesting article about Dominica in Kjarninn, about geothermal research, drilling as well as the history of the country and nation.
